Tortilis Camp boasts a prime position for enjoying breathtaking views of Africa’s tallest peak, Mount Kilimanjaro. Named after the flat-topped umbrella thorn, Acacia tortilis, the camp is set on a hill amidst a woodland of these iconic trees within a private conservancy adjacent to Amboseli National Park. Guests can experience game drives, bush walks, sundowners, and alfresco meals both in the park and in the conservancy, where exclusivity and privacy are guaranteed.
The camp features spacious tents with king or twin beds and elegantly appointed en-suite bathrooms. A main lounge, bar, and dining area are all crafted with natural materials and thatched roofs, blending harmoniously with the surroundings. The Private House and Family Tent are slightly removed from the main camp on the hill, sharing a swimming pool for added privacy. Tortilis Camp was one of the pioneering eco-lodges of its size and operates entirely on solar power, allowing guests to enjoy their stay with minimal environmental impact.
