Spend the day on full-day game drives in the Masai Mara, exploring its vast plains and diverse habitats that are home to an incredible concentration of wildlife. You’ll have excellent opportunities to encounter the Big Five lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino, along with cheetahs, hippos, giraffes, and a variety of plains game and birdlife.
Your guide will take you to some of the best wildlife viewing areas, and you may stop at scenic spots to enjoy the sweeping views of the savannah. Spend a full day on game drives in Samburu, taking time to explore the reserve’s striking landscapes of rocky outcrops, dry riverbeds, and acacia-dotted plains. Samburu is known for its uniquely adapted northern wildlife, often referred to as the “Samburu Special Five,” which include the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and the gerenuk—an antelope that stands on its hind legs to browse.
