This itinerary combines a classic Tsavo safari with a relaxed beach stay in Diani, using the SGR train, road transfers, and a domestic flight for a smooth one-way journey.
The trip begins in Nairobi, where you board the SGR train to Voi in the morning. On arrival, you are met and transferred to the lodge. After lunch and some time to relax, you head out for an afternoon game drive, exploring Taita Hills Sanctuary's vast landscapes and wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and big cats. You return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. The second day is spent fully in the sanctuary or optionally inside Tsavo National Park, with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active, followed by breakfast at the lodge. The rest of the day is at a relaxed pace, with lunch, downtime at the lodge, and another afternoon game drive before dinner and your second overnight in the park.
On the third day, after an early morning game drive and breakfast, you are transferred back to Voi Station to board the SGR train to Mombasa. Upon arrival in Mombasa, a road transfer takes you south along the coast to Diani Beach. You check in to your beach resort and spend the rest of the day at leisure, enjoying the white sandy beach, swimming, or simply unwinding after the safari experience. The fourth and fifth days are spent entirely in Diani at a relaxed pace, with time to enjoy the beach and resort facilities or take part in optional activities such as snorkeling, diving, a Wasini Island excursion, a dolphin tour (seasonal), spa treatments, or a sunset dhow cruise.
On the final day, after breakfast, you are transferred by road to Ukunda Airstrip for your domestic flight back to Nairobi, marking the end of a well-balanced safari and beach holiday that flows smoothly from the savannah to the Indian Ocean.
